Source Policy

Primary and official sources anchor the books and public essays, with clear separation between sourced fact and the author’s analysis.

Primary and official sources anchor factual and legal claims wherever they are reasonably available. These include the Constitution, ratification materials, statutes, regulations, judicial opinions, congressional records, executive documents, agency records, and official historical archives.

Quotations are checked against the source identified. Judicial decisions are read for the actual judgment and holding rather than treated as slogans. Current doctrine is checked against later treatment before publication. Links to online sources are provided for reader convenience; citations remain usable even if an external link changes.

The Resources page offers direct starting points for independent verification. Inclusion of a source does not imply agreement with every statement it contains.
